Can You Farm ANYTHING GOOD nowadays with a monk?
The only builds I've seen to get new farming places and builds are sins and eles. Where can a Monk farm anything worth the time and money in guild wars nowadays?

55ing is a classic.
but oly elite items are worth anything right now, or for the rest of the game

600 smite builds can clear probably 70% of guildwars zones/dungeons so yea I would say monks can still farm.

Monks are still major farmers - anywhere with undead a monk will totally own it where other profs will have less speed/dmg except for dervish who would be 2nd place.
600/smite is there for ppl who like team play or areas where 55 will have probs.
All professions have places they can farm - even mesmers can farm and ive messed with a 55 mes/mo farming hulks outside ascalon just for fun.
I believe someone on here did a guide for 55 necro farming and you can as 55 monk use most of the places stated and if needed go 55 mo/n for others.
Please dont say ele and sin get new places as we dont - these are all old places that get re-used when the profession skills get buffed - skill gets nerfed and people give up farming that place till a way round it comes about.
I personally like to go places with 55 monk and see for myself if i can/cant farm it and then change skills if needed - The fun is trying rather than relying on gw community to tell you where to farm ... you learn more trying

hero smiter=/=team play imo
also 600/smite is about over 9000 times faster than 55ing, so you still get over 4500 times more drops than soloing with a 55

the 600/smite is your best option for farming stuff worth your time as the 600/smite team can farm a few of the "new" EoTN dungeons.
If you are really wanting to 55 though just do the bergen farm save all your orr emblems and turn em in come christmas for all the alcahol sweets and party items you can get and sell em for a absolute messload of gold.

If you want to solo farm, just grab your Grim Cesta and bring yourself over to Bergen Hot Springs (the normal 55 build doesn't work there though, too much degeneration, play around the attributes or go Mo/D).
If you want to get lots of ectos, go 600/smite. The smite monk actually doesn't do much, but he's necessary for an actual 600/smite run. 600/smite arguably makes more money than 55ing, but that actually depends on who gets the more ectos, the 600 or the smiter. At least, that's what it is in my experience.

Yes but you are using hero with that which slows it down constantly.I would prefer real person.I imagine you can do more than a perma sin can?
You can still use the old Mo/W as well as /Mes at Bergons and Hydras in HM.

err i never mentioned using heros - i 600/smite with guildies and friends as i kno they have better brains than heros ai lol.
If you have to resort to using a hero for 600/smite id suggest making some new friends or finding a guild that has them

The smiter's role in a 600/smite team is very limited. Why shouldn't players use heroes for them?

I 600/smite with a hero basically because smiting for a 600 has to be one of the most boring things you can do in GW. I've smited for friends in a few of the dungeons and ended up reading wiki for an hour or so while doing it. You truly have to be a zombie to enjoy being the smiter but hey, if that's your thing, ummm..... good fer you ;-P
Because of this, I'd never ask anyone to smite for me.

Myself and 2 others take it in turns who does what with 600/smite and that way we dont get too bored. Its always nice to do the other 1 as it keeps you on your toes rather than being just a smite and nothing else and same for tank.
Also we tend to chat while playing and we dont rush things

In my experience, the best place to farm as monk is the Gates of Kryta mission on HM. Go Mo/D typical 55hp setup, and make sure you have [shield of judgment] [holy strike] [mystic regeneration] and you're set. You can kill anything in the mission (including the warrior boss) except for the big nasty mob in the lower area off the main path near the start of the mission.
You'll get lots of gold dead bows, lots of dust (valuable) and bones, and a good amount of straight gold. My first successful run (after 10-12 failures) I got I think 27 gold drops and it doesn't take that long

[Protective Spirit][Mystic regeneration][Shield of absorption][smite condition][smite hex][shield of judgment][balthazar's spirit][blessed aura]
I use this to farm gates of kryta in HM and have no problem with the giant mob you're talking about. [shielding hands]can replace[smite hex] if you're having problems but the 2 smites put out a lot of damage once you get to the mesmers. This works outside of bergen into the cursed lands as well.

You don't need Mystic Regen as Healing Breeze will do just has good and the old build of Mo/W can still do great jop with Bonetti's infact better.I would rather use that or Mo/N,Mo/Mes or Mo/E
Mystic Regen is overrated I know some one who does the Cursed Lands as Mo/W.

It wasn't, 27 gold drops. 22-23ish were dead bows, everything was max of course and I got a bunch of q9, however, unless you get a 15^50 it's still merch food. Good for the title though ^^
As for healing breeze, my early build tests (I'm somewhat sure that I was the first Guru person to thoroughly experiment here) showed that healing breeze could not sufficiently counter the bleeding, poison, and normal damage.
